September Round-Up

Believe it or not, October is already here.  That means it’s time to look back on September and look forward to some of the great upcoming events this fall. Remember to share your favorite stories from September, too!

Upcoming Tulsa Events and Call-For-Entries

Kyle Cooper. He doesn’t really need an introduction, as his work has set the precedent for modern motion picture title sequences. He studied under Paul Rand. He has his own IMDb page. Most often he is compared to Saul Bass. And he’s coming to Tulsa on Thursday, October 18. We’ll see you at the Philbrook for his presentation, the second in our already inspiring season.

ADCT Block Party November 29th at Living Arts Gallery. Get a block and make it whatever you want. Then we’ll sell it to raise money for scholarships. Blocks will be available at the Kyle Cooper event as well as at AcrobatAnt (during business hours), just ask for Bryan.

Momentum Tulsa: Catch artwork from some of Tulsa’s rising talent. Saturday October 13 at Living Arts, 8pm – midnight.

Communication Arts Interactive Edition: If interactive media is your cup of tea, it’s time to step up and represent.

Pecha Kucha 2 at Living Arts: 10 local artists, representing a huge skill set, all under one roof.

  • Last month we talked about Logitech’s waterproof keyboard. How about a wooden keyboard?
  • Fab Lab Tulsa celebrates their 1 year anniversary on Thursday, October 4th 6-9 pm. Guests get hors d’oeuvres and can make their own Edge-Lit display. View prices and purchase tickets here.
