October Round-Up

October is drawing to a close already, which means it’s time for another monthly round-up! Below are some of the Tulsa area events we think are worth marking your calendars for. We’ve also collected some of the best tech & design stories from the month.

 

ADCT Block Party – November 29th

Join us for the Block Party Celebration at Living Arts Gallery (307 East Brady Street), Nov. 29, 6 pm – 9 pm. Blocks from local artists (and many ADCT members) will be part of the silent auction. Proceeds go towards And this year, we have a surprise performance that you won’t want to miss. Check back here and on our Facebook page for updates and details.

 

November Events

Day of the Dead Festival – November 1st,  5:30pm – 10:30pm  Tulsa’s only life-sized papier-mâché skeleton parade is just part of the city’s Day of the Dead festival. All this and more at at Brady & Detroit, from Living Arts.

First Friday Art Crawl – November 2nd, 6 pm. The Brady District’s monthly event continues. Galleries in the area will be open for the public to explore. View the map of participating vendors and times to plan your night!

Garden Deva Open Studio – November 2nd & 3rd, 10 am – 6 pm (open til 8 on Friday). Known for their quirky and eccentric yard sculptures, Garden Deva is opening its doors to local artisans and holiday shoppers. Jewelry, sculpture, painting, photography, ceramics, knits, soaps and more, with an outdoor selection of other vendors as well.

Strangelove – November 9th View vintage propaganda in Tulsa’s historical Owen Park Church, where Billy James Hargis actually preached. Stay tuned for details.

Champagne and Chocolate – November 17th, 7 pm – 10 pm. The 18th Annual Gala and Silent Auction at Living Arts Museum.
